About Excursion
Short overview and main highlights
A relaxed day on the Black Sea coast with no mountain serpentines, a good choice for families with children and older travellers. We start on Sameba Mountain, where Batumi and the sea lie spread out below, then visit Petra Fortress, standing right by the sea in Tsikhisdziri.
On the way we stop at an abandoned Soviet-era lemon farm, then head to the Shekvetili Dendrological Park with its century-old trees, ponds, flamingos and lemurs.
In the afternoon we relax on the black magnetic sand of Ureki, and we end the day with lunch at a trout farm.
