Mirveti Waterfall
Mirveti waterfall is one of the most magical and outstanding natural sights of Adjara. It is located in Khelvachauri municipality, Mirveti village. The path leading to the waterfall passes through a green fairy-tale boxwood forest, where trees and stones are covered with velvety green moss, which gives the place a special atmosphere. The water cascading from a height of about 20 meters descends into a rocky gorge and forms a small, crystal clear pool. To reach the falls, visitors have to cross a historic pedestrian suspension bridge over the river, making the journey even more adventurous. This place is ideal for relaxing in nature, enjoying peace and taking photos. Mirveti waterfall is especially attractive in spring and summer, when the environment is as green and full of life as possible.
St Andrew the First-Called Waterfall
St Andrew the First-Called Waterfall pours from a cliff beside the coastal road between Sarpi and Kvariati — from a height of about 20 metres, almost straight into the Black Sea. In front of it stands a stone monument to the Apostle Andrew and his companion Simon the Zealot, erected in 2008. According to tradition, St Andrew came to Georgia by this route to preach Christianity, and while he rested near Sarpi a spring burst from the rock. Today it is a short photo stop and a place pilgrims love.
Karimala Waterfall
Karimala Waterfall is in the Machakhela Gorge and drops over the rocks in three tiers. The water falls from step to step into small pools, surrounded by dense Colchic forest. In summer many people swim in the pools; the cold mountain water is wonderfully refreshing in the heat. The stones are wet and slippery, so watch your step. The waterfall is close to the arched Tskhemlara Bridge and is one of the main stops on Machakhela gorge routes.
Leghvtakhevi Waterfall
Leghvtakhevi waterfall is a natural landmark located in the historical center of Tbilisi. The road leading to the waterfall follows the narrow streets of Abanotubni and the rocky valley, which creates a completely different environment from the city center.
