Short overview and main highlights
An evening trip to the mountains of Guria, timed for the most beautiful hours of the day. We leave Batumi at midday, follow the coast and, after Ozurgeti, climb a serpentine road from the forests up to the alpine meadows.
On Gomis Mta, at about 2,000 m, the clouds are often below your feet, spreading out under the ridge like a white sea. We have three hours here for walks across the meadows, photos and a mountain picnic with shashlik, cheese and wine.
The highlight is the sunset, when the clouds and slopes glow gold and pink. At dusk we head back down to Batumi. Bring warm clothes: evenings on the mountain are cool.
