One location, many impressions
Tskaltubo is a well-known spa resort in Imereti, about 10 km from Kutaisi. Its name means "warm water": the local radon mineral springs stay at around 33–35 °C all year round. The heart of the resort is its central park, with alleys of cedars and pines, canals, fountains and old bathhouses. In Soviet times people came here for treatment from all over the Union, and one of the bathhouses, No. 6, was built for Stalin himself.
