About this Place
One location, many impressions
Otia's Ezo ("Otia's Yard") is a house museum and family wine cellar in the centre of Tskaltubo. It belonged to the well-known Georgian writer and playwright Otia Ioseliani, who was also a passionate winemaker. Today the museum is run by his grandson and family. The house keeps the writer's personal belongings and ethnographic objects from old Imeretian life. The wine cellar reopened after reconstruction in 2017, and here you can taste white and red wines made the Imeretian way, in qvevri. Guests can enjoy an Imeretian lunch and a wine tasting, and sometimes a khinkali or chacha-distilling master class.
