One location, many impressions
St George's Church at Zvare stands on a rock rising from the riverbank in the Adjaristskali gorge, between Keda and Shuakhevi. The small stone church and its bell tower seem to hang above the water, which makes it one of the most recognisable sights on the road through Mountainous Adjara. A small bridge leads from the road to the church. From the rock you see the river and the green slopes of the gorge on both sides. A short stop is enough for photos and to light a candle before continuing towards Upper Adjara.
