About this Place
One location, many impressions
Uzungöl is a mountain lake and village in Turkey's Trabzon province, about 1,100 metres above sea level. The lake lies between steep slopes covered in conifer forest, with wooden houses and a small mosque on its shore. Uzungöl is one of the most popular spots in north-eastern Turkey: a walking path around the lake, trout restaurants and mountain views. Mist often drifts across the slopes, giving the place a special look.
