One location, many impressions
Trabzon is a Turkish Black Sea city about 200 km from Batumi. Ancient Trapezus was founded by the Greeks, and in the Middle Ages it was the capital of the Empire of Trebizond — its history lives on in the 13th-century Hagia Sophia and the remains of the old walls. Today Trabzon is a lively trading city with a port, bazaars and shopping centres, including Forum Trabzon with local and international brands and a food court.
