Cave of Prometheus

One location, many impressions

The Prometheus Cave is one of the most impressive and large-scale natural monuments of the Imereti region, namely Tskaltubo municipality. It is located near Kumistavi village. The cave is distinguished by its grandiose dimensions and variety of karst formations — stalactites, stalagmites, stalagnates, stone curtains and petrified waterfalls formed over centuries create a unique underwater or fairy-tale world. The length of the tourist route is about 1.4 kilometers and includes several beautiful halls. Modern artistic lighting is installed in the cave and pleasant music sounds, which makes the process of visiting even more impressive. At the end of the walking tour, visitors can enjoy a boat ride on the cave's inner underwater river.
