One location, many impressions
Uplistsikhe is one of the oldest cities of Georgia. It is in B.C. year In the 1st millennium, it was carved in the rock on the left bank of Mtkvari. Rock-cut streets, houses, cellars, theater and pagan chapels have been preserved to this day, and the royal basilica of the 9th-10th century stands on top of the city. It is located 10 kilometers from Uplistsikhe Gori, in Shida Kartli, and its paths offer a beautiful view of the Mtkvari valley.
