Batumi Marine Station

One location, many impressions

Batumi Marine Station is the white port building with a tall spire, standing where the old town meets the seaside boulevard. Passenger ships and pleasure yachts leave from here, and there are always a few boats and tugs at the pier. In front of the station is a neat square and a waterfront promenade, with the port cranes, the mountains and Batumi's high-rises all in one frame. Piazza, Europe Square and the new boulevard are close by. This is where sea trips start — and Batumi looks completely different from the water.
