Makhuntseti waterfall

One location, many impressions

Makhuntseti waterfall is one of the most famous, impressive and crowded natural monuments of mountainous Adjara. It is located in Kedi Municipality, Makhuntseti village, about 30 kilometers from Batumi. The stream of water cascading from a height of about 50 meters descends into a rocky valley and forms a natural pool below. The powerful flow of the waterfall and the surrounding rocky environment give the place a special energy and a grand appearance, which attracts visitors at any time of the year. Its convenient location and proximity to the main highway make it an essential stop on Adjara excursion routes. The historic Tamar Arch Bridge is also located near the waterfall, which makes the trip even more diverse.
