One location, many impressions
Mirveti Arch Bridge is one of the outstanding historical-architectural monuments of Adjara. It is located in the municipality of Khelvachauri, in the village of Mirveti, on the right bank of the Chorokhi River, where a small stream joins the main river. The bridge belongs to the medieval period and is built in the form of a hemispherical arch. It is built of hewn stone, where every detail is an example of craftsmanship preserved over centuries. Historically, the bridge performed an important transport function and connected the villages and trade routes of the valley. Nowadays, the bridge is perfectly integrated with the surrounding green nature. It is surrounded by abundant vegetation and moss-covered trees, which gives the place an amazing historical and fairy-tale look.
